Monsoon rains this year have been frequent.
Water is everywhere, pooling into large, unnamed mirrors reflecting our expansive skies.
Sunflowers dot the fields.
They twist and turn and reach towards the sunlight, caught up in their rhythm, an elegant dance in the wind.

Explore the dynamic, angular, and incandescent paintings of Flagstaff-based painter Tamara Hastie. An intense connection to the outdoors allows Hastie the ability to record the essence of the earth and sky, and all that they hold, in bold, swaths of vibrating color that are exacting, descriptive, and spare.
